Yet Another E-Commerce Platform Launched in India. One of
the biggest Indian television network NDTV launches its E-commerce platform Indianroots.com.
The NDTV’s E-commerce website is right now in beta and will be launched officially
by the end of next week. This online marketplace by NDTV group will features almost
300 brands and 80 designers in which three designers has been added already and
others being added gradually. The E-commerce website has currently no cash on
delivery option.
NDTV’s Indianroots.com has currently product for both men,
women and in categories such as wraps, bags, work accessories as well as home
and living items. Indianroots appears to be target overseas market, shipping
product globally. It accept payment from credit card/debit card, net banking
and also from paypal. Indianroots right now does not support cash on delivery.
According to the Rahul Narvekar, CEO of NDTV, The E-commerce
platform has started very good business since its launch. It has received 4000
visitors and more than 100 orders with 40% of the orders from US customers. The
average order of Indianroots is around 250$. The Indianroots has driven its
first traffic from NDTV’s news blog. Indianroots.com now has more than 3000
fans on Facebook it shows people attraction towards NDTV’s Indianroots.
As, There are many E-commerce online marketplace in India
like Flipcart, 99Labels, Myntra.com, Jabongword and more. Even Amozon too has launched
its India marketplace as Amazon.in. But still, we can say It will give a strong
competition to its competitor.
